The subtle nature of the light wood tone complemented with textured wall tiles installed from floor to ceiling brings about a refreshing yet intimate atmosphere reminiscent of Japanese spas.

Our Success

A white oak wood enhances this entire bathroom design. The fixed floating shelf, vanity cabinets and the walk-in closet doors are all dressed in this finish.

Contrasting black details from the tile flooring and shower walls with soft marble veining, metal wall base, hardware and fixtures forms a grounding element to the entire bathroom space.

Frequently Asked Questions

The biggest transformation was turning a dated, under-designed interior into a serene, minimalist sanctuary. By embracing a “less is more” philosophy and marrying clean modern lines with natural materials, the home evolved into a calm, cohesive environment that feels both contemporary and intimate.

My favorite design element is the use of herringbone sliding door combined with textured wall tiles that extend from floor to ceiling, particularly in the bathroom. This detail evokes the tranquil character of a Japanese spa, bringing both visual warmth and tactile richness to the space.

The renovation created a more restful, intentional home experience by refining materiality and spatial flow. The integration of natural finishes and careful detailing makes daily routines—from morning rituals in the bath to everyday living—feel more considered, calm, and restorative.

The design was inspired by minimalism and quiet sophistication. Adopting a “less is more” mindset guided every decision, resulting in a design that prioritizes simplicity, thoughtful texture, and a refined sense of quiet luxury.

We captured the homeowners’ personality through a restrained yet expressive material palette and detailing that balances warmth with modernity. Custom wood finishes and layered textures reflect their appreciation for calm, thoughtful spaces that feel both intimate and elegant.

A high-end aesthetic was achieved through material layering and precision detailing rather than solely expensive finishes. Light wood elements, textured tiles, and contrasting black accents were carefully combined to create a refined look without unnecessary opulence.

The most exciting challenge was imbuing a minimalist scheme with depth and character without clutter. By thoughtfully balancing clean lines with tactile materials, such as floor-to-ceiling tile and warm wood tones, we created spaces that feel serene but richly layered.

The homeowners were delighted by how the home’s serene simplicity and refined finishes elevated everyday life. They appreciated the thoughtful material choices and how the design beautifully harmonized comfort with quiet sophistication.
